Mrs. Lucinda Riley passed away Sunday morning

She Was Stricken With Paralysis Friday. Was One of Our Oldest Citizens.

Lucinda Harris Riley was born in the state of Tennessee. When only six weeks old she migrated with her parents to the state of Illinois. They settled in Morgan county, where they lived two years, after which they moved to Houston township, Adams county, Illinois, where she dwelt all her life until she moved to Bowen, Illinois.

She was united in marriage to J. E. Riley in 1848. To this union were born seven children, two girls and five boys. Four children have preceded her in death. Those remaining are J. F. Riley of San Diego, California, S. H. Riley of Wichita, Kans. and E. E. Riley, who has been her companion for the last nine years. She also leaves eleven grandchildren.

In her youth she united with the Primitive Baptist Church of which she was a member all her life.

She was born the thirty-first day of July 1828 and died the sixth day of February 1921, being 92 years, 6 months, and 6 days.

Funeral services were held from the residence Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 conducted by Rev. Frazee of Bentley, Illinois. Internment at Ebenezer cemetery.
